Smoked Chicken Sliders

SMOKED CHICKEN SLIDERS

These delicious chicken sliders will have you drooling and wanting more after each bite! These pack a punch of flavor that will keep you and your people asking for it time and time again!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 whole chicken
  • Pit Barrel® All Purpose Rub
  • Hawaiian rolls
  • Sliced dill pickles
  • White BBQ sauce (Mississippi white sauce recommended)
  • Pickled red onions (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Trim whole chicken and remove giblets.
  2. Pat dry and coat with olive oil or cooking spray as binder.
  3. Season with Pit Barrel® All-Purpose Rub. Rest 20 minutes.
  4. Light Pit Barrel® according to instructions.
  5. Add pecan wood chunk to coals for smoke flavor.
  6. Hang chicken using poultry hook and cook to 165° internal temperature.
  7. Remove and rest at least 30 minutes.
  8. Shred chicken carefully.
  9. Assemble sliders with chicken, pickles, and white BBQ sauce.
