MUMMY JALAPEÑO POPPERS

INGREDIENTS
- 10 Jalapeños (not too large so crescent strips wrap nicely)
- Pillsbury Crescent Roll Dough
- Candy Eyes
- Your favorite hot sauce for dipping (optional)
CREAM CHEESE MIXTURE
- 1 block softened cream cheese
- 8 oz shredded pepper jack cheese
- Pit Barrel® All-Purpose Pit Rub
- 8 strips chopped cooked bacon (more if desired)
DIRECTIONS
- Prepare cream cheese mixture.
- Light Pit Barrel® Cooker according to instructions.
- Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise. Remove stem and seeds (leave membranes for extra heat).
- Fill each jalapeño with cream cheese mixture (do not overstuff).
- Unroll crescent dough and cut into 1-inch strips.
- Wrap 1–2 strips around each jalapeño.
- Spray baking rack with oil. Place wrapped jalapeños on grate.
- Cook for approx. 20–30 minutes.
- Remove once golden brown and crisp.
- Add two candy eyes on top.
- Serve with hot sauce for dipping.
