Hot Honey Wings
HOT HONEY WINGS
INGREDIENTS
- 10 lbs party wings
- Pit Barrel® All-Purpose Pit Rub
- Olive oil
- Corn starch
- 1 cup honey
- 2 tsp chili flakes
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
DIRECTIONS
WINGS
- Pat wings dry with paper towel.
- Add small amount of oil to lightly coat.
- Sprinkle corn starch until lightly coated.
- Season with Pit Barrel® All-Purpose Pit Rub.
- Light your Pit Barrel® according to instructions.
- Add wood chips for additional flavor.
- Place wings starting from outer edge toward center.
- Smoke 20 minutes, flip, then crack lid to crisp skin.
- Cook until internal temp reaches 165° (or 198°–202° for extra tender).
- Coat in hot honey sauce and serve.
HOT HONEY SAUCE
- Add honey to pot over stove.
- Add chili flakes and simmer 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in apple cider vinegar.
- Coat wings after cooking.
Top
