BACON DATES
Bacon makes everything better, right? Try this simple recipe and see how delicious it makes your dates!

INGREDIENTS
- 16 dates, pitted
- 8 slices bacon, cut in half
- Toothpicks
- Goat cheese (optional, for stuffing)
DIRECTIONS
- Cut bacon slices in half.
- If using pre-pitted dates, gently open the slit where the pit was removed. If not pitted, make a small slit lengthwise and remove the pit.
- Stuff each date with goat cheese if desired.
- Wrap a half slice of bacon around each date and secure with a toothpick.
- Light your Pit Barrel® according to instructions.
- Place dates in the center of the Pit Barrel® in an oven-safe dish or cast iron skillet.
- Cook until bacon is golden and crispy, about 30–60 minutes depending on thickness.
- Remove, let cool slightly, and serve.
