ASIAN DUCK
This flavorful mix of soy sauce, sesame oil, Chinese five-spice powder, garlic, and maple syrup will result in one of the best tasting ducks you'll ever taste.

INGREDIENTS
- 5 lb whole duck
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 tbsp minced ginger
- 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
DIRECTIONS
- Thaw duck and pat dry.
- Mix soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, five-spice, garlic and ginger in a bowl.
- Place duck in large Ziploc bag and pour marinade over it.
- Refrigerate 24 hours, turning occasionally. Double-bag or place in bowl to prevent spills.
- Light Pit Barrel® according to instructions.
- Hang duck using Turkey Hanger and cook about 3 hours until internal temperature reaches 135° (or desired doneness).
- Let rest before slicing and serving.
